Quilting sessions on select Sundays
Join us in the Community Room for quilting sessions on the fourth Sunday of the month. Every other month starting in January we’ll put together a block for a block of the month. Use scrap material from the library or bring your own fabric. Every other month starting in February we’ll work on a specific quilting skill such as binding, free motion quilting, applique and more.
June is Open Sewing. Join us on June 23rd to get caught up on your quilting project or work on any quilting project you have. A short lesson on quilting math will be available for those that wish to learn more about designing their own quilt or customizing quilt patterns.
July 28th is Block 4. Join us on July 28th and get the next block in the series. No prior commitment is required to join us. Come to one session and get all the patterns for the previous sessions.
August 25th is Open Sewing. Join us on August 25th to get caught up on your quilting project or work on any quilting project you have. A short lesson on freezer paper, machine applique will be provided for those that are interested.
Bring your own sewing machine, cutting mat and rotary cutter if desired (these supplies will also be provided). Scrap fabric and some white background will also be provided. (If you wish to get your own fabric for your quilt you will need 2.5 yards of background fabric.) Ages 14 and up.
